Sketchabilities - sketch # 66

Hello again fellow bloggers :)

Another post coming to you whilst I am away in Tasmania :)))....so I'm hoping & praying that my scheduled post works again!!!  lol

Yet again, it is another superb sketch created by Karan Gerber.....I love working with Karan's sketches!

And here is my take on it....

"Jewel of the Pacific" - I have used some BG doily lace paper over white cardstock, with a few scrap pieces of Pink Paislee & Fancy pants papers...and some cotton lace & doily in there as well.  Flowers are Prima, Manor House Creations & Kaisercraft....Prima rhinestone flourish, Dusty Attic chipboard bird & cameo frame, AC Thickers, Jenni Bowlin alpha stickers, Lil' Red Rocket fabric button, EK Success punched butterfly, handmade felt flower & CB button, paper doily.

Pics are of the gorgeous Pacific Jewel that we were lucky enough to cruise on just over a year ago.

1st Feb Stuck sketch & some Lil' Red Rocket goodness :)

This blog post is coming to you live from Tasmania!!!  hahaha....not really, it is a scheduled post that I set up before leaving....so fingers & toes crossed that it works!!  lol

Earlier today my first blog post went up on the Lil' Red Rocket blog (yep, it was a scheduled post too!)....so to say that this little black duck is excited, is a bit of an understatement!!  lol

Anyawys....on with my share....

For one of my LRR layouts I have combined it with the 1st Feb Stuck sketch.....

And here is my take on it.....

Using a few Lil' Red Rocket goodies....and more of those fairly old papers from my stash - a combination of Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket & My Minds Eye.

Using a few different Lil' Red Rocket embellishements - 2 fabric covered buttons -  spotty brown & that gorgeous little owl button! .....  Isn't it just the cutest!!..  I just adore the colours in this button.  Plus I've used one of the round kraft vintage tags...love these!

A little bit of masking using CW chicken wire mask & pinecone ink :)

Masters entries....

Seeings that I don't really have any new scrapping that I can share just yet....I thought I would share my Scrapbooking Memories Masters entries with you all, now that there's been 2 issues published since the Masters mag & I'm "officially" allowed to put them on public display.

Sooooo here they are....

1st up is my Double layout, that I was lucky enough to receive an honourable mention for....using the following colour combo..

So, there you have my masters entries....my first year of giving it a go.

Looking back at these now...I can't help but notice how much my scrapping style has changed since doing these layouts!!

I have turned the sketch 90 deg clockwise, & used 2 photos, 1 large & 1 small rather than the 4 smaller photos together, as per the sketch.  Pics are from a place out in the middle of nowhere, between Broken Hill & Menindee Lakes....a dry old creek bed that I thought was stunningly beautiful!

All papers are MME - from a few different ranges.  With some Prima & Kaisercraft flowers, Maya Road kraft clockface,  BG office tab, Atc chipboard butterfly, OA word & alpha stickers, AC Thickers, Shabby Chic journal spot, Scenic Route leaves, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Fiskars border punch, a few buttons & TA Suede Glimmermist

More "On the move" .....

Hi everyone,

I'm back again to share another layout using the fabulous "On the move" range from Kaisercraft that I received in my DT kit this month from Handmade by Suzanne.

"Keeping it pinned".......

For this layout I've used the super cool "Fuel" diecut paper against some kraft cardstock.....& there's also some small pieces of both sides of "Propel" & quite a few diecut pieces from the "Collectables" pack (there are 52 pieces in this pack!!! which is awesome!) plus some rubons from the matching rubons pack.   Again, I've use some Green Tara paper string & Hambly tape (along with the orange tape from my stash), and some OA sticky keys alpha stickers & that awesome chipboard pennant flag by Scrap FX! (that I have covered with a piece of the "Propel" pp), that Suzanne also included in my DT kit.

I've also used a couple of Lil' Red Rocket embellies....an orange spotty button & a red checkered "remember" flag :)  & a few other bits & pieces from my stash.

As I mentioned in my last post, I will be going away next weekend for a few weeks, so I've been madly trying to get everything organised (including organising meals so that teenager son doesn't starve...lol), plus squeeze in a bit of scrapping time as well.  I don't think I will have any time in the next few days to scrap some more before we leave....so this will be it from me for a while, besides a few posts that I have scheduled, for various DT commitments, while I am away.

I'll catch up with you all in a few weeks when I get back....and my apologies for not getting around to visit your blogs lately...I just don't seem to have enough hours in the day lately!!!   I hope you understand :)

"On the move" with Handmade by Suzanne & Lil' Red Rocket....

I wish I was literally "On the move" lol....but in just over a week I will be - for another getaway!
Can't wait!!

My DT kit from Handmade by Suzanne this month features the "On the move" range from Kaisercraft! - love it! & it's perfect for all those bike, car, truck, airplane pics that haven't been scrapped yet! And I'm sure I'm not the only one who has pics like this that need scrapping....so I hope I inspire you all to want (or need) to get this range & get scrapping with those pics!


Here is my first layout using this fabulous range that also includes some gorgeous Lil' Red Rocket goodies :)

Using papers - Accelerate;  Full Tank & Propel ...plus I've used the little patterned cut off strips at the bottom of these papers.  There's also lots of diecuts from the "Collectables" pack, as well as some Hambly tape, Green Tara paper string....and a Lil' Red rocket denim flower & heart button <3

Fingers crossed that my pics are the right way around! - Have been wasting a couple of hours or so trying to get my post right because blogger kept putting all my pics sideways!!!  Grrrrrr.  I had to end up just walking away with it saved in draft form, shutting down the computer & re-doing all the pics again.....and now when I come back to it, it seems to have everything round the right way....I hope!   Please forgive me if they are sideways & you end up with a twisted neck trying to look at them!!!  LOL

Some happy scrappy news!!!

I've been keeping this secret for about a week now, although it seems so much longer than that!!!
And I'm still pinching myself....can't quite believe that I have made it onto.....

THE LIL' RED ROCKET DESIGN TEAM!!!

Talk about excited!!!  but also a little nervous too...lol

Shell at Lil' Red Rocket creates the most gorgeous handmade embellishments...her fabric covered buttons are amazing & are always different & original, and they come in just about every colour & lots of different patterns & designs (and buttons have always been one of my fav embellies...so I'm gonna be in scrappers heaven!!  lol).  Her little Rocket flags are just the cutest & always look great ...she also makes gorgeous satin blooms in a variety of colours, and also a large variety of printed tags.  Plus, she is always coming up with new ideas...so make sure you follow the LRR blog to keep up to date with all the updates, such as sales, new goodies etc. You can visit the LRR blog HERE to see all the fabulous goodies that Shell creates :)

Sketch time at Handmade by Suzanne

Well here we are at the start of another month ...where did January go!?!?!
So that means its time for another sketch at Handmade by Suzanne....and again, the sketch is brought to us by the fabulous Michelle Fowler!

And here is my take on it.....

I've been using up some of my old paper stash again for this layout....Cosmo Cricket "Wanted" for my background paper, and some 7 Gypsies that is so old that I don't know the name....and there's a few scrap pieces of BG & Fancy Pants with some strips of orange linen ribbon.  Flowers are Prima, Manor House & Kaisercraft.  There's also a Lovelybug corduroy button, Bo Bunny brad, EK Success punched butterfly, Martha Stewart frond punch, AC Thickers & BG alpha stickers.  Plus I've had a whirl using my  We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy stitch piercer (straight stitching), that I've had in my stash for a long time, but never had the handle piece to be able to use it, but they are now in stock at HBS, so I got myself one along with a heap of different stitch varieties!.....& let me tell you, this thing is fabulous & I love it!!! 

Pics are from "The Big Picture" Diorama in Broken Hill, which is a 360 deg mural of outback scenes in the area....absolutely amazing!  And as the journaling says, no photography was allowed, but somehow these photos ended up on my camera....ooopsy!  lol

You can flip it, rotate it, mirror it.....whatever you want, as long as the "bones" of the sketch are there.
