Last layout with Echo Park - Jack & Jill, for All About Scrapbooks

Hello everyone

I have one last layout to share for May for All About Scrapbooks, using the Boy side of

This has been such a FUN collection to play with...and I've loved each of the layout's created with it.

The blue's, grey & orange are just WOW...they go together so beautifully!
And, I have to say that they go rather nicely on a kraft background too :)

"My Dad"

I used the kraft for my background, not only because it went so well with the colours & the brown paper bag I used in behind the photo, which also serves as a little pocket for a journal card...but also because I had no full sheets of PP left! lol

So, this is my Dad <3  in his younger days...around 1960, before I was even born.
He looks so very young....but has not changed one bit, and is still as handsome as ever :)

Here's a few close ups....

The paper bag was a large, normal sized lunch bag, but I have folded it up to make it smaller so that it was in proportion to the photo....I've also added some Jillibean Soup lattice placemat on top of the bag.

This is the journal card popping out the side of the paper bag.

The folded paper bag adds a little bit of height to the page, which I really like :)

And there is the journal card.... minus the journaling!
I will get to it soon :)

So that is the last of my DT work for May.
I wonder what I will be playing with next month???

Anyways, for all the details on techniques & products, head on over to the
All About Scrapbooks blog HERE

Thanks so much for popping by today :)
Take care & I hope you're enjoying your weekend!  xx

Another layout with Echo Park - Jack & Jill for All About Scrapbooks

Hello Hello....happy Sunday peeps!

I am back with yet another layout to share using the fun, masculine boy side of

"One 3rd Ownership"

As the title suggests...my Dad owned 1/3 of the car they are all standing against when he was a youngin' back in Ireland.  He owned it with his best mate, and one of his neighbours that lived a few doors down....the Irvine's.  One of the fella's in the photo is the father of  formula one racing car driver, Eddie Irvine - our small claim to fame!! LOLLL ;)  Both families were very close :)

Anyways.... I loved this stripey paper!!
So of course it had to be used for the background.

These are some of the 2Crafty Fast Forward Arrows - they are so cool!
I've coloured them with my big brush pens :)

Again, I've fussy cut a heap of cameras, and for this layout some of the cars & trucks as well.

Hopefully you can see these dudes in the photo a bit better here....straight from Grease Lightning!!! haha

I've also used a fair few of the Jack & Jill decorative brads around the page too.
The pack comes with sooo many - they are great value!

And the title is using the alpha stickers from this range as well.

I will be adding more journaling to the back of this page as there is so much more to tell about my dad & his experiences with this car....some of which I have only just found out myself - from probing for more info about the photo!!  And also some which now makes a lot of sense behind a few things that only a person who knows my dad would know & understand :)

For all the nitty gritty on the page, you can find all the details over on the AAS blog HERE

Thanks so much for dropping by!  xx

Kaisercraft DT - Back to Basics

Good morning all :)

Today I am sharing my Kaisercraft DT creations with the last collection released for May,
Back to Basics!

This is such a pretty collection...the colours, the patterns, all g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s!!
There are 2 double sided papers in each colour, giving 4 patterns - stripes, polka dots, Damask & script type text...and there's 6 different colours.  They all mix & match together perfectly :)
There's also no Collectables, stamps etc with this collection...so it's as the name suggests,
Back to Basics!  It does, however, come with some fabulous Captured Moments cards,
in both 3x4 & 4x6, called "Necessities".

Here is what I've created....

Set of 3 Large Tag Wall Hangings....

The large tags are actually meant to be a BTP tag album.  I have soooo many mini albums of all descriptions, that I decided to do something different with them.  I found a couple of my favourite creative type quotes & decided to make the big tags into lovely decorated quote tags
to hang on my scraproom wall :)

I chose the pink, Seabreeze & Beige papers, making sure each of these colours were used as the base of each tag ...and also made sure that I didn't use the same pattern on each one.

Here's some close ups of the individual tags.....

After covering each tag, I have then used the 4x6 Necessities Captured Moments card as the centre piece of each tag...then embellished with a variety of goodies.

A really OLD KC wooden flourish - Roman Clock Face, a few paper blooms, Berry Vine diecut leaves, some lace, pearls & punched butterflies...as well as a few bits from my stash.  I finished each tag off with some twine at the top.  I plan to attach them to the wall with a hook that will sit inside the hole of the tag.

Love this quote! and it's soooo true :)

I've used basically the same/similar embellies on each tag.  This one has a KC birdcage wooden flourish, again more paper blooms, lace, pearls, diecut leaves & also some cut lattice using the Lattice decorative die, at the sides of the centre paper on the tag.

The cute little birdie is 2Crafty chipboard.

I let the lace overhang the tag slightly on each side, just for something a little different.

Yep, my scraproom usually looks like chaos!!! lol

The 3rd tag has a Hot Air Balloon wooden flourish...and also similar embellies as the previous 2 tags.

I also let the diecut doily hang over the side of the tag too.

Gotta have imagination, that's for sure!

Other – Butterfly punch,  Flowers,  Twine,  Leaf & Doily Dies, 2Crafty Chipboard

Next I've created a PL pocket style page...but as a 12x12 layout.

"A day at the Japanese Gardens"

Again, I have used the "Necessities" Captured Moments cards....but I trimmed them down slightly so that they fitted the page.  You could easily just use PP's cut to size to achieve the same thing :)

Normally I would choose photos to suit the colours of the papers...but this PL style scrapping doesn't seem to need that?...not sure why that is, but for some reason I felt comfortable to not worry about the colours matching!  lol

Here's a few close ups....

I also added some stamps from previous collections - Wanderlust & Outdoor Trail.

Plus a few different embellies from my stash...mostly veneers & cork embellies.

The title is KC alpha stickers - Seabreeze.

And the little trees are quite OLD KC wooden flourishes.

I coloured a few of the veneers with my trusty gelatos :D

And of course, a bit of journaling.

So that is all from me for another month of creating with Kaisercraft.
June will be here before we know it!

You can see some of the other DT members work with the same collection over on the

3rd layout using EP Jack & Jill for All About Scrapbooks

Hello everyone & welcome.
I am a little late with blogging this one, but better late than never I suppose!

I have another page to share, created using Echo Park's Jack & Jill collection - the boy side,
for All About Scrapbooks.

This is my 3rd layout with this range so far.
It is a great collection for masculine pages, whether they be little boys or big boys,
or it would even suit non-gender type layouts as well.

"Be Awesome"

I just love that orange patterned paper & had it set aside to use as a background for one of my pages with this collection....and this page was the one :)

I have added a bit of background stamping & then set to layering up some papers, diecuts etc.

Here's a few close ups....

How cool is that title sticker!!!

The banner here was fussy cut from one of the patterned papers & I've popped it up on some foam tape.

And here's a close up of the main area of the page.

Thanks so much for visiting today :)  xx

Kaisercraft DT - Scrap Yard

Hello, Hello & welcome :)
Being a Friday night, I hope everyone is having a good start to the weekend....and enjoying this beautiful weather that we had today.

Today I have some of my Kaisercraft DT work to share using another of the
new release collections for May - "Scrap Yard".
This is a really cool arty/grungy themed collection...just perfect for masculine projects!

I am a little short on time atm (what's new!!  lol) and it's getting quite late, so I'll get right to it....

"Laugh Out Loud Moment"

I've used some of Kaisercraft's fabulous stamps on the background...one from the Scrap Yard collection, and also the Grid & Triangles texture stamps.
I really LOVE the natural earthy colours in this collection :)

Here's a few close ups....

There's so many cool diecuts in the Collectables pack!
These are just a few.

And some more.

I used the Kaisercraft film-strip printed tape at the bottom of the photos & the chevron's I cut into individual pieces from a large row of chevrons in the Collectables pack.

A few pieces are up on foam tape to add a bit of dimension to the page

Here's a close up of the stamping

This was an attempt to get some nice photos of DS while he was dressed nicely to go out.....
instead I got these!!! LOL

Other:  Distress Ink

Now for a card

"Best Day Eva"

I've used a variety of papers from the paper pad along with some Collectables pieces.

I also used one of the new Kaisercraft Embossing Folders - Brick Wall.
The texture & dimension this folder gives is amazing...and so, so cool!
I hope you can see it properly :)

The 2 arrows I cut from papers from the Paper Pad...using one of the arrows from the Collectables pack as a template to trace & then cut.

Here is another angle...hopefully showing the detail of the Brick Wall embossing folder.
