Hello everyone....I hope your weekend is off to a great start!
Today I am back to share my 2nd Feb DT layout for All About Scrapbooks, using the lovely
"Beautiful Chic" collection from Webster's Pages. As you will see, this page is so very different from my first page....showing just how versatile this collection is :)
I am really enjoying creating with this one!
I am really enjoying creating with this one!
My layout is based on the February mood board at Scrap Around The World
"A Very Good Day"
What inspired me the most about this months SATW mood board, was all those gorgeous greens!!!
So, I have picked out the greens from a variety of the Beautiful Chic papers,
and this is what I ended up with :)
Also, the image of the boat on the mood board prompted me to use this photo I took while we were exploring the grounds of Ashford Castle in Ireland...it was a gorgeous setting of an inlet of the lake with this rustic looking boat shed with a few boats moared along side it - it is one of my fav shots from our trip!
This is the gorgeous Scrap Around The World Feb mood board.....
And now a few close ups.....
Lots of 2Crafty chipboard & gorgeous blooms from Green Tara & Petaloo!
The lime Green bits are from the Beautiful Chic Vellum sheet..it was actually a frame that I cut in half lengthways & then placed offset from each other, at the top & bottom of my other layers.
I love those 2Crafty Line Words...they are great to use as titles!
The greens in this paper collection are just gorgeous!
More 2Crafty - Flying Birds <3
and here you can also see the lime green vellum frame I mentioned earlier :)
I really love the paper I've used for my background...hence why I've used it as so (fav papers always get used for my backgrounds!). It is basically white, with lots of fabulous grey cracks.....which means you can basically do just about anything with it!!
Another vellum piece...the teal green banner/flag.
And ooops...I just noticed there's a sequin hidden in underneath it - it was meant to be on top!
(off to go fix that now)
Here you can see a bit of the background work (details are over on the AAS blog - link below)
The 2Crafty Messy Squares frame in behind the photo, frames it up perfectly!
And here is a close up of the main area of the page :)
This is a really beautiful collection that I highly recommend!
The papers are nice & thick, which is great when adding mixed media, as there is no buckling & warping like you get on thinner papers! Plus the colours & patterns are amazing!
For more details on products & techniques used, jump on over on the AAS blog HERE, where I explain a few different techniques, plus a list of products used.
Thanks so much for visiting today! xx
