More Heidi Swapp - Vintage Chic for All About Scrapbooks

Hi everyone and welcome  :)

Just a quick share of my last layout for Feb using
the gorgeous Heidi Swapp "Vintage Chic" collection for All About Scrapbooks.

"Isn't she lovely"

I LOVE that chevron background paper, so decided to not add any background work to it....I think it the paper looks great on it's own, as is...so I left it alone.

Pic is of my DD a few months ago.

Here are a few close ups....

I also have a few quick simple cards that I've created using leftovers from the other kit I've been working with this month - Kaisercraft's "Hello Sunshine" collection.

For more details, close ups & a list of products used, pop on over to the AAS blog HERE

Thanks so much for dropping by...enjoy the rest of your weekend :) xx

SBM Master's entry - part 2

Oooops, I meant to come back sooner than this to share my next Master's entry....time has just slipped away on me!

So I'll get straight to it - here is my entry for the criteria of a double page about a journey.

I chose to do my double on our journey along The Great Ocean Road the previous year.

"Our journey along The Great Ocean Road"

The papers are from Kaisercraft's Botanical Odyssey collection.
The chevron's on the background I handcut from a printable template that I found online.

Here's each individual page...

The flowers are a mixture of Prima & Kasiercraft...and the chipboard is 2Crafty.

Again, Prima & Kaisercraft flowers and more 2Crafty chipboard.
The alpha's are Prima & the bigger wood veneer alphas are Pink Paislee.

And now for a few close ups....

This was one of my favourites for my entry.  I had been wanting to create something with a chevron background like this for quite some time, but just never seemed to get around to doing it....so I took this as my opportunity to finally do it...and I thought, being spread over a double page would  help showcase them even better.  I love the colours in this layout....I think they really suit my scrapping style (whatever that is!  lol) and they are just so ME.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit....I will be back again soon'ish to share my next project for my Master's entry.  Thanks so much for dropping by today :)  xx

SBM Master's entry - Part 1

Hi everyone, Happy Saturday!

I've been sharing my 2013 Master's entries over on FB, so just thought
I would share them here on my blog as well :)

First up is for the 5x7 photo criteria....which was quite a challenge for me
as I find that I tend to scrap with smaller photos nowadays.

So anyways...here is my page

"Don't follow your dreams, chase them"

Something a tad different for me - I tried to show diversity in each of my entries, so for this one I went for clean straight lines & held off on the background work!!  Couldn't NOT have a cluster though...lol, and of course some 2Crafty chipboard :).  The colours are very ME, as I do love to create with more natural tones.  Obviously the pic is me....where I usually am, behind the camera, rather than in front of it.

Papers are from My Minds Eye - Nostalgia & The Sweetest Thing collections

Flowers are Prima...plus there's some skeleton leaves & MPC Lavender spikes,
along with a few buttons & pearls

2Crafty chipboard scrolls

And the title is 2Crafty too....that I cut up into 3 pieces and placed on & around my photo.

The 3 shipping tags poking out are joined together and I've included some journaling to myself, journaling that I need to read and take note of often, about chasing my dreams and seizing every opportunity as well as being more confident in many areas of my life, including my scrapbooking and photography.

Thanks so much for dropping by & any comments you may leave :)
I will be back over the coming days to share more of my entry

Take care...xx

Heidi Swapp - Vintage Chic for All About Scrapbooks / Once Upon a Sketch Feb challenge

Hi there peeps, it's so lovely to have you visit today :)
We have had a fair drop in temps here this last week, which has been such a relief
to the 40+ that we've been having for weeks!
It really does start to get to you when it's such high temps like that day after day!

Anyways...on with the layout I'm here to share :)

This is my 2nd layout created for All About Scrapbooks, using Heidi Swapp's "Vintage Chic" collection.  This collection has the most gorgeous colours & patterns and I have really enjoyed creating with it.

My layout is for the Feb Once Upon a Sketch challenge
which has a journaling theme of "Totally addicted to...."

"Addicted to travel"

So this is my addiction (among other things...lol).... I am well and truly addicted to travel - there is just so much that I want to see, both in Australia & overseas!
My list just keeps getting longer & longer....

Here is this months OAUS sketch, that I have rotated 90 deg clockwise & I've substituted the portrait photo for 2 smaller landscape photos :)

And a few close ups :)

This is my journaling...straight onto the background PP.
I also have more on the back of the layout listing some of the places that are on "the list"

These pics were taken from inside the plane when it was just about to land at Dubai, while we were on our way to Dublin last year.

I have more closeups, details on techniques etc, and a list of products used over on the AAS blog HERE, so I'd love it if you would pop on over for a looksie :)))

Thanks so much for visiting today....xx
