Hello again fellow scrappers
I am back to share another layout using the stunning "Epiphany" collection from Prima
for All About Scrapbooks.
"The Secret Grotto"
For this layout I went for a background paper with gorgeous golden autumn tones....and the other papers layered in under the photo, I've added some stamping etc, so that they weren't so plain & also to add some more autumn tones to the page.
Here's a few close ups....
The photo is of the secret grotto on the island of Lifou - which was one of the places we visited on our cruise back in 2010.
As you can see, I don't scrap in chronological order...I guess you
could say I scrap a bit willie-nillie! lol ....I choose photos by what inspires me for a particular paper collection...hence the reason you'll see anything & everything from me ....in no particular order!
Anyways...for all the details on techniques & products used for this layout,
pop on over to the AAS blog HERE
Thanks so much for dropping by :)
Cheers...xx
Ooohhh!!! I LOVE this page Linda!! Gorgeous colour and the subtle texture on the background is perfect! Absolutely beautiful work!! ox
ReplyDeleteYep, me too. All willie-nillie here as well! There's a good Aussie term. Probably after the Willy wag tails, which are all over the show, I guess.....ANYWAYS....I was going to say before being distracted, that I ADORE how you can take vintage colours, make it all distressed looking but not all dark and gothic. That's talent, I reckon. Just saying:):)
ReplyDeleteFabulous details on the background, love the natural feel to this layout. And I also scrap the photo that grabs me for a certain theme or color ..
ReplyDeleteI reckon I agree with Lizzy hill. These papers all look gorgeous. Such a warm feeling layout. Cool pic too. I don't scrap chronologically either not even with my PL stuff - just what I feel like doing :D Love this and congrats on your new venture. You are going to be a very busy lady :D
ReplyDeleteI adore the subtle stencil and paste work in the background. Gorgeous use of the papers and embellies.
ReplyDeleteLovely page with a beautiful collection. Sometimes I scrap photos years old too.
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous Epiphany layout....must crack this paper out! Love all your little touches.
