Kaisercraft DT - Back to Basics

Good morning all :)

Today I am sharing my Kaisercraft DT creations with the last collection released for May,
Back to Basics!

This is such a pretty collection...the colours, the patterns, all g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s!!
There are 2 double sided papers in each colour, giving 4 patterns - stripes, polka dots, Damask & script type text...and there's 6 different colours.  They all mix & match together perfectly :)
There's also no Collectables, stamps etc with this collection...so it's as the name suggests,
Back to Basics!  It does, however, come with some fabulous Captured Moments cards,
in both 3x4 & 4x6, called "Necessities".

Here is what I've created....

Set of 3 Large Tag Wall Hangings....

The large tags are actually meant to be a BTP tag album.  I have soooo many mini albums of all descriptions, that I decided to do something different with them.  I found a couple of my favourite creative type quotes & decided to make the big tags into lovely decorated quote tags
to hang on my scraproom wall :)

I chose the pink, Seabreeze & Beige papers, making sure each of these colours were used as the base of each tag ...and also made sure that I didn't use the same pattern on each one.

Here's some close ups of the individual tags.....

After covering each tag, I have then used the 4x6 Necessities Captured Moments card as the centre piece of each tag...then embellished with a variety of goodies.

A really OLD KC wooden flourish - Roman Clock Face, a few paper blooms, Berry Vine diecut leaves, some lace, pearls & punched butterflies...as well as a few bits from my stash.  I finished each tag off with some twine at the top.  I plan to attach them to the wall with a hook that will sit inside the hole of the tag.

Love this quote! and it's soooo true :)

I've used basically the same/similar embellies on each tag.  This one has a KC birdcage wooden flourish, again more paper blooms, lace, pearls, diecut leaves & also some cut lattice using the Lattice decorative die, at the sides of the centre paper on the tag.

The cute little birdie is 2Crafty chipboard.

I let the lace overhang the tag slightly on each side, just for something a little different.

Yep, my scraproom usually looks like chaos!!! lol

The 3rd tag has a Hot Air Balloon wooden flourish...and also similar embellies as the previous 2 tags.

I also let the diecut doily hang over the side of the tag too.

Gotta have imagination, that's for sure!

Other – Butterfly punch,  Flowers,  Twine,  Leaf & Doily Dies, 2Crafty Chipboard

Next I've created a PL pocket style page...but as a 12x12 layout.

"A day at the Japanese Gardens"

Again, I have used the "Necessities" Captured Moments cards....but I trimmed them down slightly so that they fitted the page.  You could easily just use PP's cut to size to achieve the same thing :)

Normally I would choose photos to suit the colours of the papers...but this PL style scrapping doesn't seem to need that?...not sure why that is, but for some reason I felt comfortable to not worry about the colours matching!  lol

Here's a few close ups....

I also added some stamps from previous collections - Wanderlust & Outdoor Trail.

Plus a few different embellies from my stash...mostly veneers & cork embellies.

The title is KC alpha stickers - Seabreeze.

And the little trees are quite OLD KC wooden flourishes.

I coloured a few of the veneers with my trusty gelatos :D

And of course, a bit of journaling.

So that is all from me for another month of creating with Kaisercraft.
June will be here before we know it!

Sensational tags....love the sayings and the idea of them.....& I reckon the colours are so soft, subtle etc that they sort of meld into the bg and that's why any other colours go along with them. Sooo much more details here than on FB......and I enjoy peeking at all of them! Fabulous work :):)
