And what's a blog post without a scrappy share?.....here are 3 of my most recent layouts.....

^^ Picture perfect memories - I have had this kit for what seems like forever! and I've finally got it scrapped....YAY! It was a kit from Scrapbook n Bits & was designed by the very talented Julie Collins - with just a few minor changes of my own :)

^^ Such elegant Style - using a Moulin Rouge WIOIN kit - with a few pieces added from my stash. Pic is of my Nan in 1940/1950's in Sydney. Love how this one turned out!

^^ So Handsome - was for this months sketch challenge at Anna's Craft Cupboard....Using a sketch by Wendy Smith. Pic is of DS all dressed up in a suit - for the very first time! Just used bits & pieces from the stash pile for this one
The weekend is almost here......hopefully I will get some more scrapping time!
Hope everyone has a great weekend whatever it is you're up to.....

& a few more....

layouts that I've done recently.....

^^ Having a Smokin Good Time - This pic is of DH when he was about 4 years old - & yes he has a cigarette in his hand! LOL. Used some yummy MME papers & various bits & pieces from my stash. This would have to be one of my favourite LO's of late.....just love how it came out :)) I scrapped this one while I was on my recent scrap weekend.

^^ Pic is of DS about to enter the starting gate area for a motocross race. Another page done on my recent scrap weekend. Lots of various papers & stash used on this one.

^^ Seriously Cool - Pic of Kate & Joel at a shop at Jindabyne - trying on hats. Again, various papers & embellies from the stash pile. This was for the sketch challenge over at What is Old is New....if you haven't checked out their new sketch site - head on over & have a peek!

Just another quick post.....hope everyone's having a great week!

A few scrappy shares....

Life seems to be pretty busy around here - I just don't know where the time goes!
I haven't done any scrapping in the last 2 weeks - but last night & this morning I was able to get a few LO's done....but I can't share them all yet *wink*.

At the end of month I will be working full time for 4 weeks - I'm still trying to psych myself up for that one! Dunno how I'm going to get thru it - I find it hard enough just working part-time. Anyways, I guess I'll survive - somehow! lol

Then at the end of those 4 weeks I will be starting a new job - still at the same place - just a different job. And I will be cutting back to just 2 days per week - but I'm sure there is going to be extra days thrown in there when I am needed. I'm really looking forward to it, because it really is a great job - much less stressful than the one I am doing now.

So, here are the few LO's that I can share for now.....will show the others when I'm allowed...lol

^^ "Getting your Learners Permit" I did while away on my scrappy weekend a few weeks ago - using the October Afternoon Road Map papers.

^^ "Mountain Biking" using some leftovers from a "What is Old is New" kit.

^^ Autumn Splendour - for the Scrapbook n Bits September challenge - using a photo of yourself & BLACK, BLING and a BIRD. I used some yummy Sassafras papers & various other embellies from my stash. Photo was one that DS took of me - after I was doing a practice photo shoot with him - funny thing is that his photo came out wayyy better than any of mine! lol ....maybe he has a gift there.....
Thanks for dropping by - & hope everyone is having a fab weekend!

Challenge 123.....

....this month is:-

1. Bookpaper - Lea
2. The word- SMILE on your page - Sandie Mallon
3. Include a "non-scrappy" item - Kate Middleton

For some fantastic inspiration - check out the 123 Blog over the coming days as the creative team LO's start rolling in......

You have until the 30th September to email your LO's to the 123 challenge girls at challenge_123@hotmail.com

Here is my sample LO for the above criteria....

My book paper is in the handmade lolllypop flower - my non-scrappy item is a paper doily - & I have used the word SMILE in my title. I love how this LO came out...and it was so much fun to scrap! (except the part where I spent about 1.5 hours trying to find my brown cotton that I only just recently bought - and the only other female in the house, who recently sewed a BROWN jacket - says she left in on the sewing machine ***rolls eyes*** ....and then I spent another half hour or so making a quick dash up to the fabric shop to buy some more!!! grrrrr) Ok, no more whinging....lol

Happy scrapping everyone!
