My 3rd Creative Team article for Scrapbooking Memories - Vol. 16 No. 9

Hello again peeps!

I've been meaning to get this post up for quite a few weeks now, but time seems to always elude me!
Better late than never though, eh?!!

My article for this issue is titled Basic DIY embellishments - to tie in with the "Back to Basics" theme for this issue.  There was only one layout for this article as there were many close up shots of my DIY embellishments along with a step x step on how to make a simple circle flower.

"Colours of Kinsale"

Just about all the embellies on this page are quick & simple hand made embellishments (except for the buttons, brads, chipboard pieces, alpha's & thickers).  The DIY embellishments include layered
stamped images, chipboard buttons, mini flags & circle flowers.

The other Basic DIY embellishments in the article were - Lollipop flowers,
Pinwheels & Embellished paperclips

So, it just goes to show that you really can get back to basics & create a page without spending a fortune on embellishments - they are so so easy to make & help to make your page extra special because of the handmade goodies :)

Here are a few close ups....

As you can see, I've gone for lots of colour on my page to tie in with the title & amazing colours of this fascinating town in Ireland.  Here is a small cluster of stamped images, mini flag, chipboard button & circle flower :)

Some more quick & simple stamped images.

And a few more circle flower with chipboard buttons & shop bought buttons for their centres.

And here are a few shots of the DIY embellishments

Layered stamped images...so simple & quick!

Embellished paperclips - using punched shapes, again makes them quick & easy :)

Chipboard buttons - using map paper, fabric & patterned paper.

Mini flags using a pin & washi tape...too easy!

Lollipop made from hessian - these are my fav's as I love the texture of them!

A circle button that was in my step x step....6 cut/punched circles of paper, a button & a few minutes of your time ...... & you have yourself cute little flower!

So that is article # 3 done.
I hope you enjoyed reading it in the magazine & have been inspired
to create some of your own embellishments :)

Until next time....Happy Scrapping!

Kaisercraft Storyteller for All About Scrapbooks / Scrap Around The World May moodboard

Hi everyone,
Today I'm back to share another layout I've created with the gorgeous
Kasiercraft Storyteller collection.   This is another Kaisercraft collection that I really LOVE

"Cherish"

This one is a little bit different for me...clean straight lines.  But I do love to mix things up a bit.

My layout was inspired by the May moodboard over at Scrap Around The World..,.in particular, the gorgeous colours of yellow, teal green, the apricoty colour (under the shoes) and the red/deep pink :)

This months mood board at Scrap Around The World is to celebrate their 1st Birthday...so they are having an EPIC challenge!   Lots of BIG prizes up for grabs, so make sure you give this one a go!

This is the moodboard that I took inspiration from....

And here are a few close ups

Aren't the colours & patterns of this collection just gorgeous?  I think they are...and they are so versatile for any style/theme of layout.  Gotta love that!

You can see my blogpost which includes a list of products used, plus techniques, over on the AAS blog HERE.  Thanks so much for dropping by today...happy weekend everyone! xx

Kaisercraft Design Team 2014 Entry

Hello everyone...and welcome to my blog today.

I am here to share some of my recent creations using a few different Kaisercraft collections,
as part of my 2014 design team application :))))

First up is a beyond the page item - A standing shape - Butterfly

"Dream"

I have used paper & collectables from the "Art of Life" collection, as well as some tiny pieces from the Base Coat collection for my punched butterflies.

I've created a cluster of paper blooms with some of the Art of Life collectables as the base of my cluster, with some added diecut leaves & some pieces of muslin.

Branching out from the cluster is a wooden flourish - Berry Vine, with some stamping underneath & around the cluster using Tiny Dot texture stamp.

And here is a rubon from a very old pack that I've had in my stash for quite some years!
(I really should use rubons more often!)

Ok, my next project is a layout using the newly released "Story Teller" collection

"The 12 Apostles"

I have purposely picked out the gorgeous blue papers from this collection
to help co-ordinate with my photo of the 12 Apostles, and the fact that there is a little hint of a golden yellow there on the main background piece was an added bonus!

I've added some paper blooms, collectables diecuts & some pearl flourishes to create my main cluster....and there's also a Green Tara flower in there as well.

and again for a smaller cluster at the top right of the photo.

My title & a bit of strip journaling...at both the top & bottom of the page.

And now for a couple of cards using last months release of Honey Chai

Using a mix of layered papers, stickers & collectables diecuts.

Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my work...I hope you have enjoyed your visit today.

Until next time...happy scrapping :) xx
