January Prima BAP

I had so much fun with last months Prima BAP, I thought I'd give this months BAP a go too!!

I've used a variety of papers from the Ledger Pad, that I've had in my stash for quite some time....and probably quite some time to come too, as there's like 48 pieces of gorgeous PP in that pad!!

Anyways, here is what I've created.....

Most products are Prima....the papers, stencil, stamp, ink, flowers, zipper, lace, chipboard, resist canvas heart, rhinestones, leaves, & both alpha's.
The only products not Prima are the brads....and the mist & modelling paste on the background, oh, and the punchs that I've used :).

Here is the January BAP

 2014 BAP Nine

And now for a few close ups

Main cluster with Prima flowers, Vintage trinket zipper & chipboard bird.

Title using 2 different Prima alpha's - I can't remember which collections these are from.

Some punched butterflies, using the same PP's from the Ledger Pad.

Another angle of the main cluster & layers of PP

And here you can hopefully get a good view of the pic of the Bangor Marina - although it's not a good pic to begin with as it was a very overcast day & quite early in the morning....so it just didn't turn out as it should have.

This is the town where my dad grew up...well, the nearest town, as where he lived was just a little village.  So when we were there last October, I had such a great time exploring & remembering things from when I was there back in 1980.  I have some journaling on the back of my layout...about the differences to this area of the town from when my dad lived there, and also from since my visit in 1980.

Thanks so much for looking, and for visiting my blog.
Cheers...xx

Simple Stories - I {heart} summer for All About Scrapbooks / Life.Paper.Scrapbook January sketch

Hi there everyone, welcome to my blog today :)

I have been creating again with Simple Stories "I {heart} summer for All About Scrapbooks.  This is such a fun collection to create with, the patterns & colours are just gorgeous!

My layout is based on the January sketch at Life.Paper.Scrapbook....

I created a fun patchwork effect using squares of the same patterned paper, with strips of yellow stitched between the squares to help separate it all & give it some pop.

This is the sketch at L.P.S

And a few close ups....

Kaisercraft "Key to my heart" for All About Scrapbooks / SATW January challenge

Hello there fellow scrappers....Happy Friday!  :))

Today I'm sharing a layout created using Kaisercraft "Key to my heart" collection for All About Scrapbooks.  This collection is utterly gorgeous!! and such a joy to work with :)

My layout is for the January mood board at Scrap Around The World - have you seen it??
It is a stunning & inspiring board put together by Kim Ewins....so make sure you check it out!

Here is what I created....

Ok, first up, this layout didn't turn out how I had intended!!
I wanted to use a "beachy" type photo to go with the beachy mood board at SATW.
BUT, my printer had other ideas & decided to pack it in!!!  grrrr
I already had the layout almost completed when I discovered I couldn't print my photo :(
So, me being the inpatient person that I am...lol, couldn't wait until I got a new printer, so ended up using a photo that I had already printed out.  So my flowers ended up getting some gelato colour treamtment to help coordinate with the photo, plus a few more bits got added into my layers to help tie the new colour combo together.

I was inspired by the beachy photos & the colours in the photo of the stack of teacups.  And also the netting that is holding the glass balls (what are those things called???), and although I didn't have any netting, I've cut up pieces from an old doily to add in amongst my layers to represent this.

Here are a few close ups....

My main cluster....with MHC flowers that I've altered the colour using my awesome gelato's plus some added gesso.

Another small cluster with altered flowers.

This is a 2Crafty Vintage oval frame that I've coated in Ranger distress crackle paint.

More 2Crafty - ATC words from the Friendship pack.

And a bit of a side on view to get an idea of the layers created.

More details & a full list of products can be seen over on the All About Scrapbooks blog HERE
I would love for you to pop over and have a little looksie - thanks :)

That's all from me for today.... I will be back soon with some more creations for AAS :).

Take care & happy scrapping xx

CSI - Case File No. 105

Hi there everyone,

Just a quick visit today to share my layout for case file No. 105 over at CSI!

Using Echo Park Reflections <3
Pics are from the Swiss Cottage in Co. Tipperary in Ireland.

Here is the case file...

And here is how I solved the case....

The Scheme
All colours are there

Evidence
Circles
Speech Bubbles
Book Pages
(I meant to do some stitching as well, but forgot!!  Might still add some in though)

Testimony
I've listed 3 quirky things about the cottage as part of my journaling on the back of the layout
1.  No 2 windows are the same size
2. The patterned trellis on the outside walls is different on each sectioned panel
3.  The walls inside are lined with various handmade wallpapers

I've also used the inspiration words within my journaling on the back of the layout.
Escape;  Strange;  Away

Now for some close ups....

Diecut flower made form book paper, as well as a few circles - the flair button & veneer circle.

From a different angle

More book paper doilies behind the photo

A speech bubble & more veneer circles

My basic journaling on the front of the layout (with more on the back)

And some more veneer circles.

Thanks so much for dropping by....I hope everyone is surviving this horrendous heat wave atm.
Stay cool peoples....xx
