Layout overload......

I can't believe how much scrapping I've done since my last post - 7 layouts!
And I was sick for a few days, so I am just amazed!  I had a little add up & am  blown away by the total I've done so far this year  - 38 LO's + the fabric mini album....I am stoked!

This one was Manon's colour challenge for the Feb CC at Scrapboutique - to scrap a school photo using the school colours....I thought this was a fab idea & loved this challenge!

This was for the monthly challenge at Scrapbook N Bits - colour challenge using blue, brown & cream/white.
I'm really not happy with the glimmermisting on this....one day I might just get the hang of it! LOL

Scraplift challenge at Bon's for the Feb CC.  To scraplift a gorgeous LO of Min's that you can see HERE!
and to also use felt, bling, paint & strip journaling.  I painted an old scrap piece of corrugated cardboard & dragged it across the cardstock to get the stripy effect that I have acheived.

This one is for Karen's roast at the Feb Scrapboutique CC.  I love how this came out!

Another Scrapboutique CC Challenge - a sketch challenge from Em & to also use alpha's & numbers as a border.

This one was Chels' 123 challenge at Scrapboutique - to use 1 school photo, 2 patterned papers, 3 different edges on your PP's ....and because 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 ....6 embellishments (which I found really hard!!!) lol
& the reason Joel doesn't look too happy is because he wasn't impressed with his mother wanting to take yet another photo!!!

& last but not least.....this one is for the Feb WIOIN sketch challenge that you can check out HERE.
It really is an awesome sketch, so why not give it a go?!?!

Well, that's my LO overload for now....until next time - happy scrapping!

P & O's  Pacific Jewel

Doesn't she look magnificent!

We aren't going until October this year....so there's a bit of a wait - but boy I am excited already!!!

Not alot on the scrappy side of things that I can share just yet....but I do have a few little sneak peaks ...

Plus this LO that is for the CC sketch over at Bons...

That's all I have for now.
Thanks for dropping by & happy scrapping! :)

Woweeeee!!!

Game on, over at Bons, has come to an end.....and OMG I can't believe it - I won!!!

I thought for sure that Nic had it in the bag, but somehow I have managed to come out on top by just a few points!  The end result was really close - with just a few points in the top 3 - WTG Mal & Nic you both put in such an awesome effort  (these 2 girls do amazing work & I always love their LO's - they are such an inspiration!)

A BIG thanks to Bon for putting up a wonderful & generous prize for the Game On comp!!!

It has been an awesome 2 weeks filled with lots of fun scrapping & chatting :)
During game on I have created 14 layouts (wow), 3 cards & my fabric mini album - that has been picked up by Scrapbooking Memories!!!  (another Wow)...sooo happy! :)

So here are the LO's I have created during the Game On Comp (sorry if some are repeated) .....

The mini album has been picked up for publication, so I can't show that one!

A few more layouts....

that I've done over the weekend.  All for the Game On comp that's happening over at Bon's!

This challenge was to use red, yellow, polka dots, buttons & masking - along with one of the Feb challenges.  I used the criteria for the Feb POTM.

& this one was to do a LO on one of the things that I {heart} blogged about yesterday.  Joel playing his guitar.

I'm not sure how many more challenges are to come for Game On - I'm just happy with the amount of LO's that I'm getting done :)

Today I {heart}....

Felicity has challenged us over at Bon's to blog about the things we {heart} today.

My 3 things are...

1.  I {heart} that we have had some rain over the last few days (thanks to Cyclone Olga) - enough that the grass has grown & has turned green in patches :)

2.  I {heart} that Joel loves his music so much - he has a jam on this at least once every day

3.  I {heart} all the fantastic challenges that are happening over at Bon's - especially for the Game On comp!
I am scrapping more than I normally would (gotta love that)....and I'm being challenged outside of my normal scrapping square.  And there's lots of amazing inspiration happening in the gallery atm too - head on over & check it all out....HERE

Almost the end of another week

I don't know where this week has gone, but it's gone wayyyy too quickly....it's back to work tomorrow.  *sigh*.

Before we know it, it will be March :-O.  And can you believe there are Easter eggs in the shops already!!!...I noticed them last week & couldn't believe it - I'd swear they bring them out earlier each year.  Andddddd....about a month ago I noticed Woolworths had Hot Cross Buns....do you think they actually sell any at this time of year?  I wouldn't have thought they would, but why do it then?  People obviously must buy them....it's crazy!

I have been busy scrap, scrap, scrapping!  :)
Here are my latest LO's.......

"Looking forward to the end of this drought"
This was a challenge over at Bon's as part of Game On.  Skye set the challenge - 80% of the LO had to be blue & it had to be a male LO, but not your son -  Loved this challenge :)

"He thinks he is a straight shooter"
Free class by Sandie over at Bon's

"Timeless Beauty"
Another challenge that is for Game On.  To do a LO on something that you had as your favourite 9.
My favourite 9 were all my favourite Lo's from 2009 - so I chose to scraplift one of those LO's - "Lest we forget".  This pic is of my Nan (we think in about the late 1940's)....the Lest we forget LO was my Grandfather.

And here is my mini album, again part of Game on at Bon's.  Sandie set the challenge to do a mini album using fabric - at first I thought "Ï can't do that"....but after a bit of thought, I decided to give it a go & am so glad that I did....love how it came out :)

Hope everyone's having a great week....weekend is nearly here *yay*
Take care...& happy scrapping :)

SCRAP THE GIRLS FEBRUARY CHALLENGE.....

This months challenge at Scrap the Girls is to use this quote for inspiration......

"Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you've never been hurt and live like it's heaven on Earth." - Mark Twain

other criteria - love hearts & Girly themed of course!

You have until the end of the month to submit your gorgeous LO's - email them to Kate at scrapthegirls@bigpond.com ...... would love to see you all giving this one a go!!!

Go check out the STG blog  HERE to get some great inspiration from the amazing LO's the CT has produced for this wonderful challenge!!!

So, without further ado....here is my LO ......

I took inspiration from the entire quote - as this suited Kate (DD) down to a T....she already dances like no-one is watching, sings like no-one is listening, loves like she's never been hurt & lives like it's heaven on earth! (probably a bit too much at times...lol) - and my wish is that she always will :)

Happy scrapping everyone :)
