I went with the blue & yellow combo (other choice was pink & green)...you also had to use lighter tones of your chosen colour combo....plus the use of a punch ....and some paint/mist/ink.
Silly me completed the LO and then realised I forgot the paint/mist/ink part!!! LOL
So I ended up going with some white paint mixed with some texture paste & used a stencil.
Being an afterthought....hmmmm I'm not sure.....but I guess it came out ok

I think that texture paste looks great!! I love whre you put it, I really do! I am loving that totally too and that photo - my boys would love that plane!
