Crate Paper "The Pier" for All About Scrapbooks / Scrap365 May sketch

Hi everyone & welcome :)
Wow, what a chilly one we have had here today!  It didn't quite reach 10 C :-O...and actually snowed not too far from here.  It was a good day to be inside & get some
scrapping done...and cook chicken soup! lol

Today I'm sharing my first layout created as part of my May DT work for All About Scrapbooks - using Crate Paper's "The Pier" collection.  There's so many fun colours & patterns in this collection that would suit any theme of layout.

The Carousel
based on the Scrap365 May sketch

I just love the colours of this page...and thought they well suited my carousel photos from a quick trip to Luna Park in St Kilda a few years ago.  As I mentioned previously, these papers would suit any theme of layout...but would go especially well with Fair/Fun Park type layouts :)

Here is the scrap365 sketch

As you can see...I've jiggled things around a bit!  lol
But I'm sure you can still see the sketch in there...right?!

Here's a few close ups

I really LOVE how this background work turned out! :)

You can see more details of techniques & products used over on the AAS blog HERE
Plus a few more close ups as well :)

Thanks so much for dropping by....and for any comments you may leave (I really do appreciate them)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone....xx

Another wonderful sketch Linda. You amaze me with the subjects you scrap and you do it so beautifully. I actually had a photo of my kids on a carousel and I could never scrap it...maybe you have tempted me now :)
Thanks for joining in at Scrap365 this month :)

How do you get your stencil work so perfect, Linda? Mine always ends up glooping under the mask. :(

Love the bold colours of this LO.
