15th Nov - Stuck?! sketch & ScrapFriends Yummy scrap #19

Hello there everyone...it seems it's been a little while since my last post!  I can assure you it wasn't intended, time just gets away - busy, busy, busy!!

So I'm here to share my layout created for the 15th November Stuck sketch that I've combined with ScrapFriends Yummy Scrap #19

This is what I came up with....love this colour combo plus the sketch!!

I've used a variety of papers for this one....Carta Bella, Teresa Collins & Missy Higgins.
Photos are of DD's new car (that's now 12 months old....so not so new anymore!)

This is the sketch over at Stuck?! sketches for 15th November....

And this is Yummy Scrap #19 at ScrapFriends....

Don't ya just love those colours?!?!
They certainly are yummy to me :)

Journaling....on top of a scrunched up paper doily

Cluster of Green Tara, Manor House & Kaiser flowers...and some punched leaves.

Title - which is kind of a pun on the name of the car....but the spelling was a bit tricky - wasn't sure how to spell it...lol  Plus another small cluster - Green Tara & Kaisercraft flowers with a handmade fabric button....that I altered the colour using gelatos :)

And an overall close up.

I hope everyone has had a fab weekend....the end is almost nigh though - boohooo
Thanks so much for dropping by!!....xx

Scrap Around the World challenge 7 & 1st Nov Stuck?! Sketch

Good evening there peeps,
How is everyone on this magnificent hump day?  All good I hope :)

I'm back to share another layout that I've slowly been creating over the past couple of days (just a bit here & there each night).

It is created for this months Scrap Around the World challenge 7 - which is a gorgeous mood board created by Leonie Neal-Dawson - who is the master of colour!  So of course Leonie's mood board is full of amazing vibrant colours.

Here is what I created.....inspired by the vibrant rainbow of colours on Leonie's board.

Using pics from our Ireland trip....in Dublin, at the Windmill Lane Studios where U2 recorded their early stuff back in the early 80's.  The walls are now covered in graffiti that's been adorned by fans from all over the world as a tribute to U2...so it was quite colourful & hence the reason I decided to scrap these pics for this challenge!

Here is Leonie's mood board...

Don't ya just love those gorgeous vibrant colours!

I have based my layout on the 1st Nov sketch at Stuck?! Sketches...
Here is the sketch...

And now for some close ups....

A variety of chipboard pieces here...including some 2crafty!
Gesso'd, gelato'd, stamped & doodled....

The large chipboard circle is 2crafty too....one of the outer pieces from the clock face frames.

Here you can see some of the textured background.
Lots of layers of modelling paste mixed with mists, gesso, template work & stamping.

Soooo, this one was a lot of fun....loved working with such a variety of colours & textures & getting very messy! (thanks for the awesome mood board, Leonie!)

Until next time...happy scrapping & take care!  xx

Long time between posts - sketch # 23 Scrap Africa

Well a big hello there to everyone.
I'm finally back in blog land...lol, and back from my o/s trip for 2 weeks now.

We had the most amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed every little bit of Ireland...both Republic & Northern Ireland.  And hopefully one day I will get around to sharing some photos here on my blog (it may be a while though & I'm not promising anything....as I haven't had time as yet to sort through the 6.5 thousand photos photos that I took :-/ ).  I've been a little tied up since getting home doing some family history...buriel/cemetery research to be exact, and it's still ongoing at the moment.

BUT, I have scrapped!!!
I'ts been a while (probably 7 weeks or more) since I last scrapped, and I must say, that I did feel a little green!  So I've kept this one fairly simple...also because I'm time poor atm as well.

So anyways....here it is, for Scrap Africa sketch No. 23...

And here is this months sketch...I just love the background strips on this one :)

And a few close ups....

A mixture of Manor House, Green Tara & TSS mulberry paper flowers, as well as some diecut leaves & A Greatest View flair button

Another small cluster

Some added lace for a bit of texture

And my journaling about the McKee clock in my dad's home town.

Soooo that's it from me for now....I do plan, & hope, to visit everyone's blog over the coming week - fingers crossed I don't get too distracted with this family history research.

Until next time...take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend!  xx
