Kaisercraft DT - All that Glitters

Hey there & welcome back to my blog :)

I am back to share my Kaisercraft DT work using the utterly gorgeous
"All That Glitters" collection.

This collection is FULL of beautiful colours, soft & bright pinks, minty greens & GOLD - not just gold colour, but in foil & glitter too!!
It is a super pretty collection...with a couple of different specialty papers that are just fabulous!

Ok, so on with some shares...

"Perfect Bridesmaids"

I have used the reverse side of the Radiate paper for my background, topped with both the pink & gold damask sides of the Twinkle paper...and the butterflies?  They are fussy cut from the amazing Golden Butterflies - Speciality Foil paper....the paper is absolutely FULL of them - so you will not run short of butterflies with this one!!

I have used one of the new Kaisercraft Decorative Dies - Berry Vine with the fabulous Gold Glitter - Specialty Glitter paper.  This die is one of my favourites....and I reckon it is going to get a LOT of use - I absolutely LOVE it :)))

Here's a bit of a close up of the fussy cut butterflies from the Golden Butterflies specialty paper....There is a mix of colours & each butterfly has some gold foil - very cool & gorgeous!

There's also a few Collectables pieces here too.

The title is made up of one of the Collectables pieces, and some Kaisercraft Alpha stickers in coral.
Just poking out of the cluster is a circle piece "Our Story" that is stamped using one of the stamps in the All That Glitters stamp set - I have stamped it with embossing ink & gold embossing powder.

And here is an overall view of the main area of the page, with some of the pretty KC blooms
(I was very limited on time & have not added any journaling as yet - it is on my list to add it though)

Next layout....

"Nom Nom"

For this page I've used the Polka Dot Glitter specialty paper....I love how nice & thick these specialty papers are!  They make it perfect for adding any mixed media!  Although I haven't added any modelling paste etc, I did alter the colour of the paper, making it a soft pink
by colouring it with my Gelatos :)

A cute little cluster of paper blooms, diecut pieces from the Collectables pack & ANOTHER new decorative die - Leaves!  This one is a favourite too....I love adding die-cut leaves to my layouts!

More gold foil butterflies....from the Collectables pack & fussy cut from the
Golden Butterflies specialty paper.

I have also used some of the Sparkle Captured Moments cards in amongst my paper layers...with some Collectables pieces in there as well.

More Collectables pieces...

Some strip journaling & KC white alpha stickers for the title

Pic is of little Miss O devouring her cake during her cake smash <3

And one last project....a card

"You are Loved"

I have used one of the gold foil papers from the Paper Pad as the base of the card, then layered it using the Glow & Gloss papers - the Gloss paper (the pink one) I have embossed with the new KC Flourish Embossing folder....then I have given it a bit of a distressed look by rubbing the raised embossed bits with a sanding block.

I topped this with a few Collectables pieces, some KC stamped leaves onto the Gold Glitter specialty paper...and a few blooms & stamped butterfly.

Here you can see the gorgeous embossed flourishes!!  Aren't they gorgeous!

Last layout using Webster's "Beautiful Chic" for All About Scrapbooks

Hello, Hello....I'm back to share yet another layout.

This one is from my Feb DT work for All About Scrapbooks, using the gorgeous

I really wish I had more time to play with this range....I'm sure I could have squeezed another layout out of what I had leftover....but alas, it was not to be :(

But anyway...on with what I did manage to get done.

"Dream"

I think I LOVE just about any type of woodgrain paper!...who doesn't, right?!
So of course this is what I went with for my background piece......plus the polka dot paper which, how it is here on the page, is exactly the size/shape I had left over from previous layouts - I used the outside edge for a border on one layout, and I had cut the centre out to use on another....so I was left with a piece that kinda looked like a frame.  I decided to leave it as is, and let it frame my photo :)

Here's a few close ups....

If you'd like to know more details on products & techniques,
they are all over on the AAS blog HERE

And the "Beautiful Chic" collection is available in store HERE.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by & check out my work...I do hope you have been inspired.

etc etc.

It doesn't have to be everything listed but at least have something that GLITTERS or SHINES

(Due date: Midnight March 31st )
Have fun with the sketch
and let's celebrate All that Glitters!

And here is my take on this fabulous challenge.....

"Glendalough"

I loved working with this sketch and digging around in my stash to find a heap of "all that glitters"!

I've added some gold embossed stencil work on the background...I've added some Punchinella that has gold flecks through it (huge thanks to Catie Kennedy for RAKíng me this).
I've got some gold & bronze coloured sequins...some pearls, some gold leaves & some gold & copper corrugated cardboard that is super duper shiney!! - what a find that was :)))
Ohhh and some gold flowers, & goldy coloured fabric coloured button.  Hmmmm, I think that is all.

so as you can see....lots that glitters :)

Here's a few close ups....

See the gold corrugated cardboard?  It is wayyy cool & came in a pack with a heap more,
from the $2 shop - bargain!

The gold heat embossed background with some scattered gold & copper sequins,
& I also heat embossed the 2Crafty chipboard butterfly in gold.

More of the background + sequins.... & a piece of the copper coloured corrugated cardboard.

It's a bit hard to see the gold flecks through the punchinella....but trust me, it's there!
I also added some pearl strips.

The little geotag on the left of photo is another 2Crafty piece that I've gold embossed.

My pic is of the Lough (Lake), at Glendalough in Ireland....
covered in fog & looking rather magical & very mysterious.

So there you have my take on this months awesome challenge!

Do yourself a favour & head on over to the Kraft + blog for a heap of inspiration from the rest of the talented DT & GDT.  You WILL be super inspired!!

Thanks so much for dropping by & we all look forward to seeing YOUR take on
"All that glitters"
