More My Minds Eye - Hello World for All About Scrapbooks

Hi there y'all...hope you are all well this fine Saturday morning!

I am back to share my 2nd layout for April for All About Scrapbooks, again using

This is such a fun travel themed collection of papers & embellies...and I couldn't go past scrapping this hot air balloon pic that I snapped out my back door this last winter.

My layout is based on sketch #136 at Sketchabilities

"Up, Up and Away"

I also couldn't go past using that fabulous chevron paper for my background!
I love all the multiple colours on it....plus that little bit of added pattern on some of the chevrons too....I'm pretty sure it is map print on them!

And here's a few close ups....

Wood veneers mixed with some 2Crafty chipboard <3

I love these Petaloo Burlap flowers!

And of course, some journaling telling the story about the hot air balloon hovering above my backyard!

Thanks so much for dropping by to see my work :) xx

My Minds Eye - Hello World for All About Scrapbooks

Hello there and welcome
My gosh, hasn't the weather turned cold rather suddenly!!!  BRRRR

Today I am back to share my first layout for April using the fabulous
My Minds Eye - Hello World for All About Scrapbooks.

This is a really FUN travel themed collection...perfect for scrapping all those holiday snaps, whether they are trips from here in Aus, or perhaps overseas, I'm sure you will find some fabulous papers & embellies in this collection that would suit them just fine.

My first page is on one of our recent trips down to the Snowy Mountains in summer, so it's about the destination, rather than the travel, so to speak.

"Exploring the Thredbo River"

I just LOVE that spotty/dotty/polka dot background paper!!  So of course it had to be used as a background, as this is what I seem to do :)

There are SO many embellishments that come with this collection....diecuts, stickers, flairs & some really cool wood veneers too!!!

I have used them all in various places on my page.

And what is a layout without a cluster??!!  lol

There's also some really super cool 2Crafty arrows, which are a new addition to the already amazing 2Crafty repertoire.....these ones are called "Fast Forward Arrows" - very cool!

For all the details on techniques & products used, pop on over to the
All About Scrapbooks blog HERE.

We would love you to visit us over there :)

Thanks so much for dropping by & for any comments left - I really do appreciate them :)
Until next time...Happy scrapping! xx

Kraft + April challenge

Hello there & welcome :)

I am a little late with this, but better late than never, I guess.

I am back to share all the details for the April challenge at Kraft +

This months challenge is a recipe challenge...and I have to say it was a lot of fun playing with this one!

First though....please make sure you read & understand the rules, especially the most basic & logical one....that your page MUST BE ON A KRAFT BACKGROUND!

Ok....so on with the challenge....

Please read the INGREDIENTS AND METHOD  on the graphic above carefully
and follow the recipe for your entry to count.
It might seem a lot.. but once you gather your ingredients it's not really that hard at all.
You can add whatever else you like... but your creation must have the ingredients listed.
Due date is Midnight April 30th

Here is my take on the recipe....

As you can see, I have used all the colours from the Retro colour board :)

And a few close ups....where you'll see all the ingredients somewhere or other on my page...

I do hope that you have been inspired to give this months challenge a go!
You can find all the details, including all the rules, as well as a heap of inspiration from the rest of the DT over on the Kraft + blog HERE

Until next time....xx

7 Dots Studio "Destination Unknown" for All About Scrapbooks

Hi everyone,

So here we are into April!  I'm not sure how that happened so quick!!
But I do know that it means I am way behind on sharing some of my work for
(I guess that's what happens when you have been unwell)

This is my last layout for March, using the fabulous "Destination Unknown" from 7 Dots Studio.

This is something I have been wanting to scrap for YEARS, and this collection was the absolute perfect one for it....well worth the wait, I say :)

"7 Years Beyond the Seas"

My hubby's GGGG Grandparents both came to Australia on the First Fleet...so this is what my layout is about.  Obviously, the photo was not taken by me!! lol  It is one that I found online.
I have the basics of the journaling on the front of the page with the rest of it going on the back....and there is LOTS of it telling their story about the crimes they committed to be sentenced to transportation to Australia, and then what I know about their life here in Australia.

It is certainly one page that I am happy to finally have done :)

Here's a few close ups.

For all the details on products & techniques used, please pop over to the AAS blog HERE
And the Destination Unknown collection can be found in the AAS store HERE
This collection is not only suited for travel/destination type layouts, but is also a great range for masculine themed pages as well :)

Thanks so much for dropping by today  xx
